Overall, nice hotel but has some flaws. Good place to relax, but don't expect to be pampered. Beautiful views, grounds are very clean, but expensive food/drink. PROS: Quaint hotel, comfortable lobby. Plenty of room to move around so if you don't rent a car, you will still have plenty of activities. The terrace is lovely with pleasant breeze at all... more

Good Points Kids Club.. Extremely well run and it is included in the price. the kids had a blast Value: Even though a little expensive but the fifth night was free ( we stayed 10 days), 2 days of car rental and also 4 massage sessions. Overall pretty good. Friendly Staff.. except for one individual extremely nice. Breakfast: Great breakfast,... more

My wife and I stayed at the Buccaneer in St Croix for our third wedding anniversary. We ordered the romance package on to what we booked via Expedia.com We were extremely satisfied to say the least. From the time the shuttle the Buccaneer arranged to pick us up at the airport until the time we left the resort to return... more

Trip report – The Buccaneer, St. Croix – April 16-22 The Buccaneer Overall: We chose St. Croix largely because we were curious about the island and wanted a resort on a nice beach. The Buccaneer did not disappoint. It’s charming, not glitzy. People describe it as a “country club like atmosphere” and I can see that but it still was... more

This is a beautiful (throwback from year's past) resort that has a lot going for it. St. Croix is not a very pretty island, but the setting of the Buccaneer was wonderful. The resort is spread out and very hilly. We stayed in the furthest room from the Main House in the Doubloons. Our view from the second floor was... more

We stayed at the Buccaneer for a week. The Doubloons room (352) was fabulous -expensive, but fabulous. The turn-down service was spotty. They didn’t show up once, and we only had the “bedside mats” one night. Went with the "relax and rejuvenate" package – very nice. Quick and Dirty on the food: Dinners (2) at: Terrace – nice view, food... more

My wife and I stayed at the Buccaneer in late April of 08. We truly enjoyed our time there. We reserved their simplest room, a Great house Mountain View, and received an upgrade to a Great house Ocean View. We were in rooms that were likely part of the original resort. While they were not quite 5 stars, they were... more

We go to St.Croix every April vacation. We've been there for the past 7 Aprils. The Buccaneer is a great spot for a family vacation. The kids camp is wonderful as they have many activites with the children from nature walks, to swimming to snorkling, to arts & crafts. Great way to keep your kids occupied so you can relax... more

My son and I stayed at this resort during spring break. My son had a brillant time. I would not recommend this hotel if you are single travelling with a child. I find that this hotel attracks older couple. Absolutely nothing to do at night. I was bit disappointed and a bit bored. Can't be compared to the Turks. With... more

We just got back from a week stay at the Buccaneer and overall we really had a great time. We travelled with our two children 14 and 17. I would say the right word for the Buccaneer is "charming". It may not be for everyone because it is a small, quaint, quiet resort. There is no island music or outdoor... more
