We only stayed there one night, as we were settling on a place nearby the next day. We are kicking ourselves for not finding it sooner. Tamarind Reef sports a wide (For St Croix) sandy beach with free chairs and umbrellas for guests. Our room was no-frills - but clean with a small patio attached that looked out on the... more

We have just returned from 6 nights at the Tamarind Reef, sans our two toddlers, in celebration of my wife's 40th birthday. About 5 years ago, we spent 4 nights there and this time, after much research, we could not find an alternative that seemed like better value on any island. This time we rented a car, which was a... more

I stayed at the hotel for a week and liked it very much. The rooms are in pretty good shape, the maid service is very good not to forget the security - there are surveilance cameras, security during the night and a guard at the gate from the main road. The hotel is in a closed area near elegant villas... more

We've been back for almost 2 months and still can't decide what was the best part of our stay at Tamarind Reef. Was it the people? Was it the beauty of the resort or the beauty of the whole island? Was it the snorkelling..the food...the drinks...the comfort. I guess it was just everything. We will be back! more

Very nice spot, Quiet and secluded with a small beach with some snorkeling. We stayed here for one night prior to moving over to another property for the rest of the week. Very friendly staff, rooms were a litttle pricey for a quaint little inn. The Galeon restaurant at Green Cay Marina next door is very nice as well. Gerry... more

I love it! Frequent business traveller to St. Croix, and this is my #1 choice in hotels. It is not the Ritz, the Four Seasons, or even a decent Sheraton, but it is comfortable, and staying there you immediately become part of the family. The Deep End is my kinda place! Lots for the family to do. Quiet and peaceful.... more

We just got back from STX and stayed at Tamarind Reef for 7 nights. This is a great little place to stay. Small but fits the need very well. If you want a lot of partying, it's not for you. However, the Deep End Bar at the Tamarind Reef is a great place to hang out. Locals come around and... more

We stayed at the Tamarind Reef Hotel in St. Croix and my only regret is that we didn't stay longer. The hotel was clean and well kept. It had a pool large enough to do laps. At night we lay in the hammock or sat on our patio and watched the stars. The beach is not one you can play... more

My daughter and I visited St. Croix over the winter holidays and moved to the Tamarind Reef Hotel from another unsatisfactory hotel. The move saved our trip from what would have been a disaster. We had a very clean, comfortable junior suite which lead out to a cute little patio overlooking the sea. The staff was very friendly and accomodating.... more
