The hotel was very clean and the breakfast was great. The hotel is located in the middle of everything! You can walk across the street to a busy beach or you can take a free ferry ride to a more secluded beach. There was a nice restaurant near one of the pools. It was very romantic. Very good restaurant, although... more

My husband and I visited for our first wedding anniversary in June 2008. On first impressions, the resort itself is stylish in a very simple, understated way (we had looked at booking the Sheraton or the Westin prior to this and overall we think we made the right decision - the reception at the Westin is however far more luxurious... more

We just returned from 11 days at the Pelican Bay! First I start by stating "It's the Bahamas; How bad can it be?" Overall this is a nice property and after looking around the island I can see why it's rated #1. Positive things about the Hotel: Location. Everything is right there! The market place has several very reasonable and... more

Pelican Bay is not under construction. We are, however, adding a conference building on a neighboring piece of land. That effects about 20 rooms; this section has been closed for "normal guests". And, these rooms are not used for any guests who unaware of this situation. We accommodate in these rooms guests associated with the project and some guests who...

The front desk clerk was lovely and after check in left the best surprise for last...we had been upgraded to a suite! Now mind you, it was next to the construction site, but as it was Friday evening and there would be no work on the weekend, that just left Monday to worry about, So, what the heck!! Our pool... more

Our first night at the Pelican Bay the hotel was over booked so we stayed in an awful room at the Sheraton. We were to transfer back to Pelican bay the next day - what a hassle. For our trouble the upgraded us to a fantastic suite! Our room was gorgeous and the view even better. There was so much... more

This was our first trip to the Bahamas. Overall, it was a nice place. It is definately a 3-star experience, though, so if you are expecting more, don't bother. I'll sum up quickly with the good and bad: -The Good- 1) Was a nice location, a few hundred yards from a nice beach and was right on the dock that... more

The suite we had at The Pelican Bay Resort in Freeport is by far one of the best places we've stayed to date. My husband and I were here over the May 29th thru June 2nd weekend. The place is beautiful, comfortable and not your average hotel room by any stretch. The balcony has 2 chairs, a table and lounge.... more

Spent 4 nights/5days at the Pelican. Had a wonderful time and we really enjoyed the Hotel. The room was very nice and clean. We stayed on the bottom floor and could sometimes hear the people from upstairs walking around, but not all the time since we were out and about. The MarketPlace is nearby (walking distance). I would stay at... more

My boyfriend and I took a vacation to the Pelican Bay for 4 nights. Amazing time! Very nice, comfortable, intimate hotel. If you are looking for the big resort style hotels then you can go across the street. The beach at the Westin/Sheraton is great, but we loved Taino Beach and they have a free water taxi on the hour... more

We also enjoyed our stay at Pelican Bay. The place is beautiful, friendly and convenient. We found that we got a much better rate by going directly to their website than going through other online booking agencies (expedia, etc) They offer many discount rates and we ended up paying less for a superior room than for a standard room booked... more
