We stayed here for two nights prior to departing on a cruise. Once we went downtown we were so glad we weren't staying there, but out on the smaller bay in Diamante. This place is a real oasis. Security is top notch at the entrance and the drive down to the property is very dramatic. This is real luxury enjoyed... more

Camino is amazing. Sucluded in a pictoresque paradise. You have to keep in mind that you are either stuck there (which is perfectly fine), or you have to rent a car to move around, or you can use taxis which are way over priced. Hotel itself is located on a hill, which allows it to have 3 pools on different... more

My girlfriend and I just returned from a 3 night stay- As many others have said on this board- the Camino Real Diamante is well worth it. For the money, if you are looking for relaxation and seclusion, with great service and restaurants, then this hotel fits the bill perfectly. Also I would say that upgrading to the "Club" rooms... more

We just returned from a week at Camino Real Diamante in Acapulco for our Honeymoon. It was in the middle of Spring Break so we were nervous about being in Acapulco with many crazy Teens but had an amazing experience. The resort had a nice mix of Americans, Europeans, and Latin Americans. It is Situated about 10 minutes outside of... more

Stayed three days in Mar/07, great Hotel, thought the location was a little secluded but after reading other reviews about Hotel Road, very happy to be secluded, room view was to die for, staff extremely helpful and polite. We hired a Taxi driver named Franciso that was a true gentleman he took us to see the cliff divers and to... more

went for a wedding in the middle of october (rainy season). needless to say it rained almost the entire time that we were there. despite the weather, the hotel, it's grounds and it's beaches were nice. very tropical. i have to agree with the others as far as downtown being dirty and a wee bit seedy. we went for lunch... more

Nice room, nice location, nice people, but irritating "nickle-dime" charges. Internet access (wireless) available in the lobby for $12 per 24 hours ... plus tax. In-room coffee was available, for $3.50 per bag supplement. We expected to be charged for the toilet paper after awhile! No non-smoking areas in any restaurant, and the loud 60s and 70s rock music spoiled... more

The Camino Real was fantastic! We love, love, love this hotel and would not consider staying anywhere else in Acapulco. The hotel was pretty crowded for the first few days of our stay, but after the Mexican holiday period ended on Jan. 6, it emptied out a lot and we felt like it was our own private resort. Even when... more

A wonderful place to stay in Acapulco! I was there over Christmas and really enjoyed the hotel. First, the hotel is very beautiful and almost every room as an ocean view. The staff was friendly and very accommodating. The breakfast is excellent and provides a variety. The beach is small, but since it is not accessible from other beaches, no... more

We had a great time at Camino Real Diamante. The hotel is lovely and in a beautiful spot. We selected a "CLUB" room to include breakfast and a cocktail hour. Unfortunately, they never seemed to recognize this, and we were always billed for the meals and cocktails - and then they needed to check with the front desk and get... more
