This was rated quite highly on trip advisor, so we were looking forward to a mommy break away. We were using a timeshare week we got through craigslist. Sadly our visit was not very pleasant. The rooms at the hotel were really icky - the first room they took us to smelled so badly of mold I started sneezing instantly.... more

This was our 4th trip to Mazatlan. We have always stayed at Costa de Oro with no issues but we decided it was time to try something different so we turned to our “old friend” tripadvisor.com and found the Royal Villas hotel very highly rated. The best part of Royal Villas are the beds! They were new Sealy Posturepedics! We... more

Ok, it's not a 5 star by any means, and reading all these complaints, give me a break! The rooms have two balconies and are little over 1100 sqft. Room service operates from 11am -11pm. That's it, so no breakfast delivery you must go to downstairs to the restaurant NO BIG DEAL, that's why you are here. Time share issue....none.... more

We stay in an ocean front Tajin, the room is spacious and has the most beautiful views from our THREE terraces, one on the ocean, one ocean view off living room and one ocean view off the master suite. We can either sunbathe on our terrace, which is funished with lounges, or go to the pool. The kitcheetes have a... more

We stayed at Royal Villas from 7/1 - 7/6 of 2007. It is a nice hotel (not the 4* the website I booked the trip w/ indicated but nice). We enjoyed our stay. However, if it's a "get-away-from-it-all" vacation you're looking for, this is not the place to stay. It's family-friendly thus lots of kids running around and playing at... more

OMG! This property is wonderful! My Husband, Daughter, and I choose to stay here after reading the reviews. We too choose the all inclusive and was not dissapointed. The staff was incredible. They were so friendly and helpful. We had a one bedroom suite, which was huge. My Husband and I strolled up and down the beach looking at the... more

I am a travel agent and this was my first time to the Pacific coast of Mexico. We had a two room suite which was very nice. A great ocean view from one of our 2 balconies. We requested 2 dbl beds in each room but ended up getting one king and 2 dbls. It all worked out okay though.... more

4 couples from Minnesota just returned from a week at Royal Villas. We were not part of the RCI program so we were not forced into the AI. I would have left had we been told there was no other option. The rooms were above average. The box springs and nice mattresses were a nice change from the cement beds... more

Just got back from 9 days in mazatlan and loved it, we will definitely will be going back. The rooms were nice and spacey and had a a very nice view. The cleaning ladies were great and always willing to help make our stay comfortable. We were there through RCI and had to do an all inclusive package. It was... more

We have been there several times over the past four years. The hotel is great but the best part is the service. If you eat in the restaurant I highly recommend the seafood platter. For about $30 you can feed four with lobster and huge shrimp. This last trip we found the open market in "Centro". This is a must... more
