I stayed at this posada for five nights in March-April 2008, and was fortunate enough to receive a discounted rate despite staying during the Easter week holiday period. Dario who works behind the counter at Posada Roger is a good guy, really helpful, try asking for him when you make your reservation. The rooms at this hotel are clean and... more

I just spent one nite here while waiting to check into a nearby condo rental, which I had stayed in before. The staff were friendly and the common areas are nice, but quaint and basic. The rooftop pool and sundeck were a plus. The room I was given, as a single, however, was just borderline basic. Altho clean and secure,... more

We have traveled to Puerto Vallarta on many occasions and in the past stayed mostly in the resort areas that offered all inclusive. We loved it at the Posada Roger, the rooms were clean and everyone was helpful. There are so many wonderful places to eat in the area and the beach is nearby. It was the most relaxing time... more

I spent 4 nights at the Roger a couple of weeks ago and had a great stay... very well located in the old town, good, cheap breakfast in their attached restaurant (try the huge fruit plate), CLEAN, quiet and small. If i ever return to PV, I'll book my whole stay there! Be aware- this is a mexican hotel, NOT... more

I am in PV for a while, and thought it was time to go give old Roger a look. I was walking past Monday, but didn't have time to stop. Saw a very intriguing pair of women walking in as if they owned the place. I got a chance to sniff around a little today. I really like what I... more

First, let me say that I found it amusing that the complaints of a reviewer below are gays and insects. Rest assured, you'll find no gay people or insects in your room at Posada Roger unless you bring them in yourself. It's true the area near Playa Los Muertos has gay and straight nightlife, but I fail to see the... more

We have been to PV several times before, but lately have taken to heading out of town to more secluded places. This year we spent just one night in downtown PV, but decided to find a more rustic, and cheaper, place in the Old Town. The Roger is 2 blocks from the beach, and smack dab in the middle of... more

We loved the Posada de Roger! The staff is great, very helpful, warm and professional. It's location is great, good restaurants and shopping nearby. We found it clean, quant, and in good repair. Sure, its not the Holiday Inn, but if you want the Holiday Inn go to the Holiday Inn. more

We didn't know what to expect, but had reviewed the Trip Advisor Reviews before booking. We wanted to experience some real Mexico, and get away from the all-inclusives. The front desk staff was great and very helpful with recommendations for good places to eat and day tours. We recommend the Tulcans (Breakfast place connected to hotel), Robertos(down the street to... more

Recommended by a mexican family who had stayed at the Roger a few years ago so no idea what to expect in 2006. It was my first time in Mexico and my girlfriend and I were more than impressed with the lovely old hotel with its profusion of flowers in every nook and cranny of its 3 storeys centered around... more
