Stayed at Costa Vida in August. The location is great and right on a high cliff. There is a sign about 2 miles up the road that says 'The movie Predator' was filed here. We had a ocean view w/ great sunsets in the evening. The hotel beach was a BIG disapointment. It was almost all rocks with no sand.... more

My husband and I love to stay at Costa Vida, our first trip was May 2004 and we have been back every six months since. We will be back April 27 for 2 weeks. The last time we were there we renewed our vows and the staff was wonderful, they set up a beauitful area with flowers and swans for... more

My husband and I stayed at Costa Sur from February 15 to March 2, 2006. It was our first visit to PV, and hence our first stay at Costa Sur. This resort is a time share property, we made an exchanged, we are not owners here. Our first observation was that the majority of the guests during these weeks were... more

My family and I have been to Costa Vida (I refuse to call it by the new name, Playa Del Sol Costa Sur) six times. We own 2 weeks. We were there once in the winter and six times in the summer. I definitely prefer the summer. In the summer the main pool and two bars are the center of... more

We stayed at Costa Sur from Feb 4-11 /06. We wanted to try staying at one of the resorts on the mountain side of Puerta Vallarta to see if we liked it better than where we had stayed before on the Marina. The hotel is owned by mostly timeshare owners that own a certain suite for a certain week. So... more

We stayed here in November (3-10, a very nice time to visit PV. Not too humid- and we had no rain..) I liked this smaller resort. First the location: it's south of town, and a nice change of pace if you are used to the larger resorts north of town. The coastline is beautiful on the south side, a lot... more

We just spent 2 weeks (November 17 to December 1, 2005) at Playa del Sol Costa Sur (Previously known as Costa Vida). It was our second visit this year (we spent a week in January) and we enjoyed it just as much, if not more. Being located only a ten-minute bus ride to town makes this resort an excellent site... more

My husband and I stayed at Costa Vida Vallarta for our honeymoon in PV and had a wonderful experience. The staff was very friendly and hospitable, as well as the guests/timeshare owners. The outside restaurant and bar are located outside. The restaurant has great food, alittle pricey at times, but worth it if you would like to not go out... more

We visted Costa Vida for our honeymoon. We were greeted at the door with a drink, guess it was happy hour. The staff was very friendly. The guests were also very friendly. Its not a super fancy resort, but it was just what we were looking for. A great view of the ocean, a little beach to lie on, a... more
