Just returned from 6 days at El Cozumeleno. We found the entire facility fabulous. Our two children, ages 8 and 11 loved all the activities. We did everything available, snorkeling, kayaking, tennis, mini golf. The food did get a bit old after the 3rd day, but the kids loved the french fries and nachos, as well as self serve soda... more

Stayed here July 8-15. This was our 2nd trip to Cozumel and our 3rd AI in Mexico. It was a family trip - Me, hubby and two kids ages 3 and 6. Previously we stayed in bungalow type resorts. We have been to the El Coz three times now and we want be coming back. The food was horrible and uneventful. My biggest problem was with the management staff in the hotel. We stayed three nights beginning the 14th and left on the 17th. I had actually done research through expedia, mlt vacations, and funjet. I found the best price through funjet (atusa.com) and then called my travel agent to see if she could beat the price. She was able to match it but got a better accomodating flight schedule for us.... more

Back in Oct 2005, my My boyfriend and I stayed at El Cozumeleno Resort. We had a great time, they treated us like royalty, it was like staying a 5 star hotel. Wow! What can I say that others have not? We stayed at the El Coz July 5-July 12 and had the most amazing time. The food at the buffet restaurant wasn't that bad as people might have suggested in previous reviews. There was definately always something great to eat. The Elcozumeleno resort is hard to beat. I have stayed there several times and I am going again in March of 09. There was everything you would want without leaving the resort. The hotel is clean but there are NO room amenities. No robe, coffee maker, mini bar, mini fridge, nothing, so be aware.
