Just returned from a 5 day vacation today! Overall we had a good trip. The buffets were not that great but were edible. The best food we had at the resort was the breakfast buffet and the hamburgers and fries from the snack bar. Most of the meals we ate were in the city. The staff at the hotel were... more

First off, food gets boring real quick. Odds are you'll only like a couple things and get sick of it fairly quickly. Hotel itself is nice. Had a great room with an ocean view. Beach was laughable. Murky water from left to right. Can't see anything in water and I mean anything! Short walk to Pier at hotel next door... more

My family of 12 people just got back from a fabulous vacation in Cozumel at the Melia Cozumel. Before we went we read the reviews both great and not so great and were a little apprehensive of what to expect. Most of the family upgraded to the Junior Suites which was totally worth the little extra cost, the rooms were... more

My wife and I returned from a 5 night stay at the Melia Cozumel the other day. The trip served it’s purpose, which was to get away and relax. We arrived in Coz at 11:30am Friday July 4th with little to no problems with the airports or airlines, which is unusual nowadays. We made it through immigration and customs in... more

My husband and I just got back from our stay at the Melia Cozumel in June. This was one of the most relaxing vacations we have had! The Melia presented some of the friendlist staff we have ever encountered! They were prompt and efficient with all of our requests. In additiion, the hotel had staff members who helped book excursions.... more

We returned last night after spending a week at the Melia Cozumel. It was our first trip to Mexico and we were greatly disappointed. I had read a lot of reviews on the Melia and some were bad. I was hoping that the good ones were right. Not the case. All of the bad reviews hit the nail on the... more

We just returned from Melia Cozumel yesterday, and I will not be returning there again. The food in the buffet is terrible, yes there is a wide selection of food but we didn't like any of it. We did make reservations at one of the nicer restaurants and it was decent. The nightlife at Melia was slim to none. They... more

This resort far exceeded my expectations. The staff were all very friendly and accommodating. We thought the food was really good - maybe not "exceptional", but it was as good as anything else we found in town. The rooms were also very large and comfortable. There were a lot of kids there, but the grounds are laid out with an... more

We stayed 7 days at the Melia Hotel in Cozumel. The first day, we were pestered by the time share sales rep. They are really a pest. Our room was on the second floor near the activity pool. The room itself is pretty bare. It did not even have an alarm clock. The "room darking curtains" are a joke. We... more

We stayed at the Melia, Cozumel in May,2008. On arrival, reception staff were ok, not particularly welcoming. We had booked a pool/garden view room and were given a room with a garden and partial sea view which was great. The room had a super king size bed which we liked, but we weren't too keen on having a connecting door... more
