We arrived at the hotel after 6 months of phone calls and reservations only to find that our rooms were not available. We were traveling with another couple, and they attempted to put us in a suite on the second floor next to the road. When we commented that the suite had only one bed, they brought a wooden pallet... more

Say what you want about NaBalam but I find a little piece of paradise just a quick ferry ride from Cancun. I just love the place. I took my husband and teenagers 2 years ago and than went back with friends. What do I love? The laid back, it took me 2 planes to get there, feel without the extra... more

From the very minute we checked in the experiance was VIP and it was in the evening we were tired from catching ferry & walking with laugage. We had reservations for a pool view room they had upgraded us @ no extra charge to a Ocean View. I would recommend room 2! We had a superb dinner @ their restaurant.... more

A group of us just got back from a 7 day stay at Na Balam. For all of us it was our first overnight trip to the island. Overall we had a great time and would return to the island and this property. For starters, if you are looking for a 5-star hotel that is decked out with all the... more

This hotel was perfect! I had already arranged a private beachfront dinner with luminaries and tiki torches around our table. It was wonderful. The food wasn't the best I've ever had, but I wasn't there for the food, it was the setting I cared about and it was beautiful. Palm trees, white sandy beach and a gorgeous sunset made it... more

My husband and I are frequent travelers to Mexico and have been to Cabo St. Lucas, Puerto Vallarta, Huatulco, Cozumel, Puerto Penasco, Oaxaca, and Cancun. On a trip a few years ago to Cancun, we discovered the lovely Isla Mujeres (island of the women) on a day trip and decided to go back there for a vacation some day. We... more

I came to Na Balam from New York City in Nov 2007 looking for a very laid back and quiet long weekend. I basically got what I was looking for except I was surprised at how small the beach was due to the hurricane. My only real problem with the hotel was that I arranged through them transfer to/from cancun... more

A group of 13 of us stayed at Na Balam for 4 nights from Feb. 7-11 for a friend's birthday party. I obviously did not have any input about where to go. It was arranged by my friend's travel agent. I felt it was very overpriced for what it was, and would not recommend it. Let me start by saying... more

I am so glad to see the review just before mine. We had a completely different experience and we were there at the same time Feb. 2 - Feb 7. We ate at Zazil Ha everyday we were there. We had 7 people in our group and had breakfast and lunch every day for 6 days, we went into town... more
