I've read the other reviews, and even checked them before booking, so I was well-informed when I arrived at Quinto Sol. To keep it simple, I will list positives, and then the not-so-positives. 1. Great location, about one block from beach, at the quiet end of 5th Avenue. An easy, 5 minute walk brings you to the hottest area of... more

Big rooms, good location, smell of sewage emanating from toilet. What more can you ask for? I actually liked the place because the tree growing up through the atrium was cool, the staff was always nice but didn't bother me, and it had A/C. But I can see how some of the more finicky folks would complain about the toilet... more

Is the Quinto Sol a resort, no. Is it a simple clean place to spend a few days in PDC yes. What do you want for $100 a night high season? We called during Easter Break on Monday for a mini-suite for Wednesday and it was no problem. All the employees were extremely helpful with the booking and on arrival.... more

We stayed at Hotel Quinto Sol for five days in late February 2007. We arrived at 9am and the staff held our luggage for us before check in at 3pm. The staff was very nice and helpful. They called a cab for us and told us how to get to Tulum by city bus called ADO, which is an excellent... more

this is a clean, nice hotel. However, if you are booking with expedia, breakfast is NOT included. The service is a little less than friendly also. more

Great hotel. Very unique layout. The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. This is a great location, right on 5th in the middle of everything and a block or two from the beach. The room was a little dark, but the beds were comfy and the bathroom layout was nice. The hotel has a hot tub on the... more

The Hotel Quinto Sol look very nice from the outside, but the rooms are very poor. they are big, but with very little furniture, there was not even a chair in our room! Just a desk and a bed. The shower looked inviting, but worked poorly. The location is great in relation to the best beach, Playa Mamitas, but not... more

We stayed at Quinto Sol in April 2007. The hotel structure is very nice and rooms are ok if you need to be in just to sleep and havea shower. It is ok and prices are good. Very well placed - 100 meters far from the beach and 50% discount on chairs and umbrellas at Mamita's beach club. Beach towel... more

This is a fair hotel for the price, but for $20 more I would suggest to stay at the Aventura Mexicana. The hotel is directly on 5th Ave, so it's not too quiet, especially if you're in Room 301. (Finding a hotel that's on a street in between 5th and 10th Ave will guarantee a lot more quiet.) It is... more

We stayed at Quinto Sol for our first three nights in the Mayan Riviera. We were very pleased with this hotel overall. It is in a great area at the north end of 5th Ave where there are lots of great restaurants, shops, etc, but away from the really touristy parts while still within walking distance to everything. It is... more
