Well, I really wanted to like the Hotel Parayso, but I have to say that my experience was so bad it was actually funny. 1. I told the travel agent that it was absolutely critical that the place we stayed have electricity all the time because my husband has sleep apnea and needs to use a breathing machine. She assured... more

What we liked: The location is amazing. Every room faces the ocean and has a wonderful balcony with double glass doors that open to the beach. The beach in front of the hotel is great for laying out and swimming. The hotel restaurant/bar has great drinks and food and there are many other places to eat nearby. It is a... more

overhaul very nice. Restaurant – excellent. Best Ceviche on the coast. Not open for breakfast though so we would take a short walk over to AnayJose or some other place… Rooms – fresh clean tastefully decorated. Good cleaning service and laundry service. Kitchens are not fully stacked so if buying own food get plastic utensils, plates. Pool – clean and... more

We stayed at the Parayso for four nights and we really liked it, we had a great time. The rooms were very clean, they were cleaned daily and with fresh towels. The owners gave us a really nice welcome and were very helpful throughout our stay. I can recommend the restaurant. We had breakfast and dinner at the restaurant twice,... more

We were at Parayso in late July. The owner emailed me and asked me to do a review. It’s actually pretty hard to rate it on a scale of 1 to 5. Right now, I’d have to give it a “meh.” The basic ingredients were there for comfort and relaxation during the hot summer months. The air conditioning worked, the... more

We stayed at the Parayso for our first time just before Labor Day weekend, right after Hurricane Dean. My husband and I would love to be able to say it was tremendous, but we just can't. Yes, I am used to the hotels in PDC, but the rooms at the Parayso are what we call "roughing it". The ocean view... more

My two children, husband and I just returned from a dramatic 6 day vacation in Tulum - the drama arising from Hurricane Dean not the hotel! I had booked the room directly with the owner Graham in Canada who was extremely helpful. Before going I read some bad reviews and told him that it was my first vacation in Tulum... more

Hello, I had read the negative reviews before I came to Parayso so I was prepared but not for the lack of Hangers, Dishes and other Kitchen necessities. So after we accessed the room we went to the big market: St Francisco De Assis in town and stocked up. Staying here reminded us of renting a cabin at Lake Tahoe... more
