We recently returned from a 10-day stay at La Ruina in SMA and it was a glorious way to spend the holidays. We have stayed at La Ruina every year for 4 years. The location can't be beat- 2 blocks from the Jardin, the pulse of San Miguel. The apartment is decorated and furnished tastefully in true Mexican style and color. Everything you need is in the apartment and anything you want is within walking distance. My wife and I have enjoyed staying at La Ruina for the past seven years (and hopefully for many more). It has been a great place to enjoy San Miguel Allende. and I recommend it. The La Ruina property, located in the historic district, consists of 2 one bedroom rental apartments, a tiny studio and a large suite of rooms.... more
