Affordable, comfortable and a great location. If your not looking for something fancy stay at the Driftwood Inn. Its right on the main street and an easy walk to shops and restaurants. Really comfortable beds, they have just been replaced, pillows were also really comfy which is a big plus when travelling. more

We stayed here for one night and found the room very adequite and comfortable. The feather bed was a nice touch. Though this building is a little rougher around the edges it was a good value for where you are. Parking is very tight around the Inn you can use the underground parkade next door. You also have access to... more

We booked this hotel through bestofbanff.com web site. We stayed there for 4 days. Hotel doesn't have elevator. We were given a room on the 2nd floor and had to have someone to help us carry the luggages up there. Staff were friendly. We came down one morning asking where to buy the bus pass and was given one as... more

The Driftwood is a decent hotel but could use some TLC. It is right near downtown Banff and therefore walking distance to everything. The rooms themselves are fairly nice but we did have a few difficulties with our stay. First, the check-in is in the hotel next door - you will find that with the sign on the hotel door,... more

To start, there wasn't any parking available and we had to drive up and down the street to find a spot along the curb. Our room was on the 2nd floor up , no elevator and 2 flights of stairs with heavy luggage. The room was freezing when we arrived (on a day it was -25C), and the staff told... more

The hotel is perfectly located on the main High Street and is ideal for accessing the many forest walks around Banff. The room itself was very clean and tidy, room was a little dark and very warm but we discovered an ice machine down the hall that was perfect for chilling the bottles of water we bought from the supermarket... more

The Driftwood Inn is right on Banff Ave. When you drive into the town, it is on the right side. It is very easy to miss, so look for the sign that says "Caramba Restaurant" and the turn is 5 feet in front of that sign. Check in is at the front desk of the hotel next door. The staff... more

I have just returned from 5 nights at the Driftwood Inn. I have to agree with the comments which point out that the hotel is clearly a budget hotel and as such you get what you pay for and probably a bit more. The bedroom was clean and the bed extremely comfortable. My radio alarm was broken when I arrived... more

I booked this hotel online, and it is certainly a bargain, compared to other options in Banff. It was centrally located and you could use the facilities of the Ptarmagon next door. The wireless internet worked well and the room was small, but clean and tidy. It was a short walk to the restaurants in the middle of town. more

Great location in town. There was a lot of noise from the next block which had a house with a lot of young people. They tented to get home early in the AM. Great value Ate at St. James Gate pub! Nothing really good about the place. more
