I find it difficult to share the enthusiasm of other reviews of the Post Hotel. On the positive side, it is very comfortable, has a pleasant alpine quasi-Swiss ambiance of warm wood, with nice but not overly-large rooms, but lacking a refrigerator, and very good bathrooms. We arrived at this excellent hotel on a chilly September evening to a warm and friendly welcome by the front desk staff. We have stayed at the Post 6 or 7 times. It is so well run (good Swiss hoteliers!) with comfortable beds, not huge - but nice regular rooms. The restaurant may be pricey - but the food is superb - and there is nothing wrong with the fare at the pub. Don't worry about staying on the "bad" side over... more

We just returned from our trip to Banff and Jasper National Parks, and we had the pleasure of spending 4 nights at The Post. We found the accomodations to be excellent, and the hotel is in a great location. It is very pricey - realistically, it probably is not worth the money, but we enjoyed our stay all the same.... more
