I stayed for 1 night with my wife and mother in 2 rooms. Without asking, they changed our rooms to minimize our stair climbing to better accommodate my mother. A nice touch. The rooms were rustic but clean. The dinner was first rate and reasonably priced. more

This lodge is literally the only option between Lake Louise and the Icefields Parkway, but they still go out of their way to make this a unique experience. We got a really good mid-week deal that made the stay more affordable and were worried we'd get a sub-par room as a result. However, I'm not sure that there is such... more

Num-Ti-Jah Lodge is a gem in the Rockies. The location alone warrants more than 5 stars, and considered a privilege to stay on such a historic spot. A visitor who takes the time to ask questions, read about the history of the area, hike to Bow Falls, enjoy the authenticity of the building, and relish in the surrounding mountains, glaciers,... more

We stayed at Num-Ti-Jah Lodge for 2 nights with my Canadian cousin and her husband and found it a wonderful experience. This is a historic gem and those wanting a run-of-the-mill hotel should stay in the flesh-pots of Lake Louise or Banff. Our first floor room overlooked Bow Lake (see photo) and was warm and comfortable with a full size... more

This rustic, historic, charming Lodge is located in one of the most beautiful spots of the Rockies - on Bow Lake overlooking Crowfoot and Bow Glaciers. It truly gives you the mountain experience. The staff were friendly. The food was contemporary gourmet cuisine and was very well prepared. The dinner mains included everything from elk, muskox, duck, salmon and arctic... more

What a terrible experience to share. We were very interested in the hotel because of the review from internet. This is the ONLY "hotel" in the Bow Lake area that has direct view to the lake. We booked room 25 on the 4th floor because we were told this room has the most incredible view of the lake. The window... more

You take your chances with NumTiJah. I've stayed in this rustic, charming lodge twice. My first visit was during the slow season in May when the place was almost deserted. It was a quiet paradise in the mountains. Sure it was rustic, the shower was hilariously small and the walls were thin. However, it was still a genuine romantic getaway... more

My husband and I stayed two nights at this lodge in late September 2007. I decided to stay here because I liked the idea of being at such a beautiful location. I became a little uneasy as to what we would find at the Lodge as the time of our stay became closer due to the negative reviews on this... more

We stayed here for one night in Sept on the recommendation of our travel agent "Independent Traveller Loughborough". He gave two reasons, the lovely views and the sharp reduction reduction in price for the date we would be there. He was absolutely right, for 52pounds only , we had a second floor room with wonderful lakeside views from both windows.... more

Booked to stay here just as a stopover between Banff and Jasper and was most pleasantly surprised. Some of the other reviews are quite disappointing, but if you would rather wake up to spectacular views than have fluffy duvets, than you shouldn't miss it. The 'rustic' lodge is full and character and was the highlight of our stay when travelling... more
