Pros: The room was very nice, and made me feel very comfortable. Even the hallways smelled fresh, not deodorized. Super size plasma or LCD tv was really neat. Room service worked very well. Restaurants and pedestrian friendly area were on the street behind the hotel. The air conditioning/ventilation was great. Cons: It was unusual to stay in a double bed... more

This hotel locate just across the street from Calgary Tower. If you are lucky to get a room on the 9th Ave side, you can see the Tower from your window. If you book the trip from priceline.com, you might not be able to access the gym and pool. They didn't tell me that at check-in. I followed another guest... more

Great location. Spent first and last night of 10 day trip at Marriott. Service was excellent. Concierge was most helpful to ensure we received our luggage which was late, coming in on a later flight. Highly recommend stay for service and location, to local restaurants and to the airport. Hotel upgraded us for last night of stay to concierge level... more

We chose this hotel because of its location. It is directly opposite the railway station and we would be arriving on The Rocky Mountaineer train. This proved to be a very good choice, as when we got into Calgary at 10 pm, there was snow everywhere - we were later told that over 20 cms had fallen - so we... more

Myself, my partner and my mother, booked 2 double rooms for 1 night in Calgary. My partner and I arrived first and checked in. We were greeted pleasantly but for some reason they wouldn't let us check in both rooms despite the fact the booking was on the same form. A little confusing, but we let it ride. It was... more

This hotel has an ageist attitude. We spent the weekend there, and was harrassed by security. They actually asked us ' who let you in'!!! I will never stay at any Marriott again because of this issue again and I advise anyone who looks slightly younger to avoid staying here. They will NOT be receiving my proffessional business, nor my... more

I stayed here for 1 night in late September on a business trip. This was actually my third visit in 9 years - and I just happen to like this hotel. It has a good central Calgary location; and the staff have always been helpful and friendly. The rooms are very nice - clean and well looked after - as... more

1. The location couldn't be better. Right across the street from the Calgary Tower and bordered Stephens Street, the popular restaurant and nigthclub area. It was also connected to the Glenbow Museum, which was very interesting. 2. The health club was well equipped with cardio equipment but only had one weight machine. Lots of dumb bells...but nothing else. 3. The... more

I didn't see any of the run-down aspects earlier reviews talked about. Looks like everything is recently refurbished. Nice rooms, wonderful service. Even the Starbucks in the lobby had nice people. Great location to get to everything downtown. One of the few hotels stays where I have nothing bad to say. All good. more

We booked the Marriott for the last night of our trip across BC, it was our only night in Calgary. For the price we paid (£75 GBP from memory) and the official rating of 3 star, we werent expecting much, but the place was great. Ive stayed in so called 4 star hotels that are a lot worse. The Marriott... more
