It is a nice budget hotel, especially good if you are travelling with a family and small kids. Their suites are spacy and comfortable. We stayed there with two little kids and used there kitchen (stove, microwave, fridge and dishes extensively). So if you need to use these things by chance, this hotel is perfect. The hotel is a couple... more

The hotel is under a staff shortage right now so,you have to tell housekeeping that you would like your room made up. The physical shape of the hotel is good, but the beds are in poor shape. Our Queen sized bed was higher on the four corners than in the middle meaning it is time to go or be flipped.... more

Great stay, came from Toronto and wanted to have a solid budget hotel. This exceeded our expectation! People were friendly, rooms were spacious and clean, seemed to be newly renovated. Only 3 minutes from downtown, I recommend it! more

I loved this hotel. We spent two wonderful nights here. The room was big and very clean. The cleaning staff did a great job. In the room, we had a kitchenette and a small living room area with a couch and a TV. It was very comfortable. The pool is large and clean and the water was just warm enough.... more

I reserved a room, and was told it was the last room available, but not that it was a smoking room.. Needless to say it was not a good stay and i had to air out the luggage when I got home. The lounge/restaurant is very noisy at night. So oyu have to go elsewhere to have a quiet meal. more

This is a really nice hotel with extremely helpful staff (at any time of day or night). The facilities (pool, spa bath, laundrette, sports bar) are excellent, much better that other hotels I've stayed in. It is a long but pleasant walk from downtown Victoria and buses pass by the hotel every 10 mins. All in all I would definitely... more

The hotel was fantastic, with great facilities including a pool, parking, restaurant downstairs and a lovely room! Our oversized room included a sitting area and TV, semi-self contained kitchen and 4 seater table, king size bed and air! The only downside was a room facing the road so we heard the traffic but in all, a great place to stay... more

I found the Sandman Victoria clean, comfortable & convenient. The staff is friendly & professional. My room was efficient from a business stand point with new king sized bed that provided me with a great sleep. I was within a nice walk of the main parts of Victoria I wished to visit. I look forward to the opportunity to return... more

Stayed here for 5 nights in a suite. The room was a good size with en suite bathroom, lounge area and kitchenette which was useful. Pool, gym and launderette facilities were good. Helpful staff and free use of internet. Down side was it is a 25 minute walk to the heart of downtown Victoria. There is a bus service nearby... more

I was disappointed with the quality of air - smokey smell, not as good air quality/circulation in the kitchen/pull-out couch area. Also the cleaning of the room was sub-standard for a hotel such as this. General kitchen/bathroom cleaning was fine, but the baseboards were very dirty - looked like they hadn't been dusted for a long time. The mattress pads... more
