Stayed one night at the Holiday Inn harbourview. Have stayed there before. The location is super convenient to the office bldg I visit, so I can't think of a reason to stay over in Halifax. The rooms are nothing fancy, but for the rates they charge, are reasonable and clean. The bedspread is old and out of date, but the... more

I had the wonderful opportunity to stay at this hotel in September and loved every minute of it. At first, I was supposed to stay at a "downtown" Halifax property for a conference but waited until the last minute to book and the hotel was sold out. The Holiday Inn had rooms available online and it turned out to be... more

The Holiday Inn Halifax Harbourview answers the phone by stating that it is the 'award winning' Holiday Inn. I think that that is a stretch. What did they win an award for? It is really just another Holiday Inn. First, as we found out, it is not in Halifax, but rather in Dartmouth, which is across the river. It cost... more

We stayed at this hotel in July this year for five nights. We took advantage of the 'shades of summer' package and got every second night at half price plus complete buffet breakfast included. We were travelling with our two teenage sons and were lucky to have two interconnecting rooms. Also although we didn't particularly request it we had rooms... more

I wish I had read these reviews more carefully before booking at the Holiday Inn. While the staff is friendly, polite, and helpful, and the lobby and restaurant is lovely the room was one of the worst we have ever experienced. Mattresses were awful, bathroom is hardly big enough to close the door, walls are paper thin. We should have... more

Had to write as am looking at another trip to Halifax and was reading the reviews for the Holiday Inn in Dartmouth. We have stayed twice and enjoyed it and our rooms both times. The first time we stayed we had a harbourview room on the 6th floor, it was fabulous ,second time unable to get harborview (didn't book early... more

Oh My Gosh, I have never experienced a more accomodating staff. My wife and kids were treated like royalty. We paid $15.00 extra to have a balcony and harbourview. Worth every penny!!!!! Food, service, cleaning staff and Front Desk staff were amazing. Will stay here everytime I go to Dartmouth or Halifax more

The staff are the most accomodating staff I've ever experienced. Everyone says Hello as you are walking around the hotel. I have stayed in many other hotels in Halifax/Dartmouth and I have now found my hotel. I will be staying here everytime I go to Nova Scotia. more

As many people have noted, the hotel is under renovation. Currently, balcony access is closed off for exterior work. The hotel is RIGHT next to the Dartmouth to Halifax bridge, so if you are approaching the hotel and are new to the area, watch out that you don't turn onto the approach road to the toll bridge in error!! I... more

This hotel is still being renovated. Our room on the 3rd floor was ok, but the bathroom is in desperate need of renovation, paint was peeling off in the bathtub, sprinkler looked like it was about to fall. We did not have any access to the balcony, could not even open the window as all balconies were being renovated. The... more
