Stayed at the Embassy Suites in Ottawa during Canada Day. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful with any questions. We stayed in a Bachelor suite which was perfect for myself, my husband and our 2 children. The kids slept on a pull out couch but was fine. The kitchen was a bonus. The bathroom was a little small... more

The plus on this hotel are: - located in a quiet neighborhood - they also have umbrellas to lend to residents, in case of rain - Free newspaper every day The negatives are: - centralized heating and cooling. I was very uncomfortable during my stay as it was a warm day in Ottawa and there is no way you could... more

My partner and I stayed here last month when we headed up to Canada for our wedding. We probably wouldn't have stayed here on our own, but since we had family flying up from New York, we figured we would find an affordable place for everyone. We checked in on Saturday and were pleased with our room - until our... more

A good location opposite the city hall, a quiet street a few minutes by foot into the town centre. Well-equipped rooms/suites with kitchen/lounge/bedroom/bathroom. No restaurant, and in the italian restaurant recommended over the road the service was slow and surly. Bar staff friendly. more

When booking in this hotel with your family, be aware of the following points: 1. There is no swimming pool (you can get the same room in a hotel in two minutes walking distance of this hotel with swimming pool at the same rate). 2. Dinning room is closed in weekends and holidays. 3. There is no free internet in... more

Booked a Bachelor suite, mainly because the room is very cheap by Ottowa standards. The room is dated and a little shabby, and had a stained carpet, but was clean enough. Has a kitchen area with cooker, fridge etc Location wise, it is a little bit further from the sights than most of the other big hotels, but still only... more

We had a two bedroom suite, which was about the size of a small apartment at a very resonable price. It was clean and well decorated, the only (minor) problem was the sound insulation in the bathrooms - when the people upstairs were showering, it was like being close to a waterfall. The hotel is very convenient for restaurants and... more

We were moved when we asked for a quiet room - our things were shifted while we were out, no problem. Unfortunately we spent a terrible night one floor down and one over from an abusive domestic dispute. Although the night clerk made an effort to find the ruckus (there was a lull in the action both times he came... more

What a dive. We refused to stay there. It is an outdated crappy hotel. The rooms are drab and need updating. The beds were saggy. The kitchenettes were okay but had certainly seen better days. While we did not see any cockroaches or anything quite that gross you can stay even closer to downtown for a better price and at... more

This hotel has a good location (near Elgin St), big room and nice bathroom. It is not a brand new hotel, but it is confortable and clean. One elevator was being renovated. You can go by walk to good restaurants (experiment Fredo e Cielo at Elgin St.) and to the Parlament. more
