Had a fabulous stay for two weeks in June. The house itself is a lovely period home set in the tree lined area of Sandy Hill close to consular buildings and parks. At a minimum, we expect a comfortable bed at a B&B. The bed lacked a headboard, the mattress was uncomfortable, the room was small. No dresser, so an electric teapot sat on the floor. Our stay at Alexander House was just great. The welcome we received couldn't have been warmer, the room was very pretty and comfortable and the breakfasts were delicious. more
