Toronto certainly isn't the bargain it used to be for travelers from the US, but at least the Hilton was a great deal. We got an attractive, clean, nicely furnished room right in the middle of downtown for $72 a night on Hotwire. The Hilton downtown was a nice hotel with a great location on the corner of Richmond and Spadina. Short walk to Yonge St. The staff was friendly though at first they charged me twice for parking ($60). Parking itself is quite high at $30 but it is downtown. Awful. I'd never stay here again. They promised an airport shuttle, wi-fi, etc. But when I arrived, all of these were extras. I felt as if every time I turned around, I was being shaken down for another $20. I'll never stay here again. more
