First time traveling to Montreal, and we did it in Feb. never again, way to cold. We arrived really early at the Hotel Bonaparte, our room was not ready, but the front desk guy was nice enough to put us in a better room so we could sleep for a bit and then get breakfast. The breakfast here is great,... more

In the times that I have visited Montreal, the times I've stayed at the Auberge Bonaparte have been the absolute best. It is located near the Palais des Congres and in the heart of Vieux Montreal. Its costs are quite reasonable compared to the large chain hotels, and it is by far the best hotel that I or my colleagues... more

My husband and I stayed one night for our 20th anniversary. There were no surprises based on all the feedback on this site. Our room was on the third floor with a view of the courtyard. I asked for this in hopes of a quiet room based on others comments, and it was. The room was very clean, with a... more

Montreal is a great city and this is a really great hotel in the "Old Port". The hotel was really nice and the breakfast (included with the cost of the room) was soooo amazingly good! Have the french toast! In fact, the breakfast and the location of the hotel were my favorite parts. It's a 3 course breakfast consisting of... more

I agree completely with so many of the previous reviews about this hotel. My husband and I based our hotel choice by reviewing Trip Advisor. Located one block from St. Paul street with a variety of eating establishments and shopping. We certainly were not disappointed by choosing the Auberge Bonaparte! Upon arriving we were upgraded to a room on the... more

We stayed at the Bonaparte in October and found the overall service excellent. The breakfast is amazing but we found the restaurant food to be average and overpriced. more

Our trip to Montreal was strictly for pleasure, sightseeing and the enjoying the best restaurants. We wanted a hotel that was in or close to the Old City. After extensive on-line research (the reviews in Tripadvisor Frommers and Foder's Montreal Travel Guide) I chose Auberge Bonaparte. The hotel in around the corner from Notre Dame Cathederal and within in walking... more

I also agree with all the positive reviews. Rooms are very nice. Our bathroom had a large jacuzzi tub with a separate shower plus two sink areas. Lots of space in the room. Attractive hardwood floors. Breakfast was amazing...just like many others have written already. We ate dinner there on Saturday night and found it to be excellent food and... more

We spent four nights at the Bonaparte in late September. Our third-floor room was nicely spacious and had large windows overlooking the street, although lacking in drawer space (2 drawers in the TV armoire) if you like to unpack. Although the wood floors were attractive, I would have expected a rug. The room was spotless and housekeeping kept it that... more
