My girlfriend and I took a quick trip up the hill from Sacramento. We stayed in a room with two queen beds. It was a very nice place with lots of families with kids swimming. The room we had was exactly what we expected and the price was fabulous. I would recommend this place for anyone that wants a nice... more

Our family has been staying in South Lake for over ten years, we have satisfactorily stayed at the Holiday Lodge for the past five years. So I was bummed to learn that it had been torn down, but they left a referral for the blue lake, what a mistake. We arrived past midnight, there was no one at the desk,... more

I travel to South Lake Tahoe alone, so when I am there I do not know anybody. I found The blue Lake inn By chance! I used Cheap Tickets .com. Because I do not know anyone there, the trip can get a little lonely. A worker there by the name of DON really made me feel at home with his... more

We stayed here because Heavenly was running a promotion with the inn, and because of the easy access to the mountain via the gondola in Heavenly Village. For the price...($205 for two nights, including two days of lift tickets)...it was very hard to pass up, so gave it a shot. The property: They offer free continental breakfast and free wi-fi,... more

My friends and I stayed here for 3 nights when we went snowboarding a week ago. Our original reservation was for 2 nights. We checked out on the morning of the second day (I believe the deadline is 11am each day). We then went snowboarding. But we were too tired to drive back afterward so we stayed another night in... more

We stayed here for 3 nights and the location is perfect, very close to the gondola, shops, casinos. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The room and bathroom were clean and the bed was comfy. There was fresh fruit, pastries and oatmeal at breakfast with coffee, tea and orange juice, perfect to start the day off. The room was... more

Pulling up to the Blue Lake Hotel, there were no surprises. The pictures that you have seen from their website or other travel sites are perfectly accurate. I never expected much from this hotel, and didn't get much either. However the proximity to the Heavenly village and shopping more than made up for it. Most of the time we walked... more

We have stayed at Blue Lake Hotel before and it was fine. However, the last time we stayed there was very disappointing. I had hopes of taking a bath when I arrived there ,after the long drive. When I went to use the tub ,all the tile was lined with mold. It was disgusting. I ended up standing in the... more

I read the other reviews, so I did not expect much, but I got even less than that. The room was small and they had too much furniture in it. the sink was just sitting in the counter top and it was not even the right sink. the faucet was loose. you could not close the bathroom door without it... more

Booked the hotel for a great price ($60) and got everything I expected and more! A clean bed and room, A/C, and a shower, microwave and fridge. Free wifi and breakfast. A steal. more
