The Grand Residence is often described as a hotel, but it clearly is not. Serviced self catering apartments would be a more apt description. We had a generally good stay at the hotel. We had a problem on check in as we wanted to upgrade as we were on honeymoon to a suite with a fireplace. Before going, I had seen some reviews of this property that talked badly about the personnel. We just got back, and I thought every aspect of the place was great, including the employees. It starts off with my daughters showing up to the hotel and the valet staff questioning whether or not she belonged there.
