Don't be dissuaded by ugly logging town of Golden nearby--this property is a great value and a very peaceful place to use as a base for Glacier National Park in Canada. All units ('chalets') have kitchen so you can cook here. Good thing, because there is nothing nearby. Glacier Park has amazing hiking and few tourists. Highly recommend this property! more

We stayed one night at the deluxe summer suite- we had the luxury of an outdoor jet tub facing a mountainview, a private sauna and private steam room. It was extremely comfortable and relaxing. Great place to unwind. The suite was immaculately clean and hospitality very polite and kind. Would definitely stay again! more

Secluded 1 kilometer from the highway, amongst beautiful woods, you will find these cute lodge and chalets. The cabin we got was very ample and extremely cozy, with its fireplace, kitchenette and a dining table and bed that reminded us of the 3 little bears. Central heating worked just fine. Be aware that this is not a good choice if you hope to visit any parks east of Golden, such as Yoho or Banff. You certainly can not reach Jasper from here, although the website says it's "easy to reach by day trips". As for the owners dog, it dived into the river to retrieve my daughter's sand bucket she had dropped into the swift running water. Pepper would have done the same if she had fallen in herself. Very nice place but we were disappointed with owner's reaction on learning their dog had chewed up an expensive pair of running shoes. They had been left out briefly to avoid tracking on the cabin floor and the dog ate em up. The owner laughed off the mutt's actions and did not aplogize in anyway other than to say "well... more
