We rented the complete outfit for a Bowron Lake trip of 7 nights at Bowron Lake Lodge. Its was good, complete, the right stuff. Friendly people. Tents, carts, sleeping bags etc. For Europeans: mind to check how the fuel burners work and the water filter. It is kind of difficult and ought to be tried before the trip. And the... more

Depite several emails back and forth with the owner and the last one stating that he had reserved the room, when we arrived, he claimed to never had heard of me and we did not have a reservation. He was quite rude about it. When we got home, I forwarded him the emails --no response. more

In terms of a setting, this place is unbeatable - adjacent to a chain of lakes and amenable to day or longer canoe excursions; a landing strip for prop-setters, a billion-dollar view, a beach that is nicely swimmable (a little pebbly at its highest level but nice bottom and good water temperature further out).
