I held a discussion group here and the arrangements for the buffet and room were good, with amendments acted on courteously and efficiently. My bedroom was quite large and quiet but a long way from reception, with no lift so was a bit of a struggle with 2 cases. more

This old manor house is easy to find on the A4 towards Bath, and the building is totally out of character with the surrounding area. Upon arrival in the small hotel reception I was given a half-hearted greeting and told my room was on the first floor. I walked up the stairs to the first floor through the double doors... more

This hotel in the suburbs of Bristol is well located and has a number of nice architectural features as well as an ecological interest (providing it's economical). However, it seems to cater to the coach tour trade rather than to independent travellers. My room on the 3rd floor (walk-up) had a small single bed although I had asked for a... more

Despite making a guaranteed booking in August I have been contacted by the Hotel 4 days before our trips to say they are overbooked and cannot now accommodate us. Due to the international rugby game in Cardiff there is no suitable alternative accommodation, which has placed us in a difficult situation. If the Hotel is genuinely overbooked it evidences a... more

Room was clean, beds comfortable and bathroom large. Plumbing was very noisy but then the hotel is very old. The restaurant served a good breakfast, we dined there one night and that was fine, no complaints. The location was very good for both Bristol and Bath if you have a car. Good value for money. more

Stayed at this hotel for 1 night in January as me and 2 mates went to Bristol to watch Deal Or No Deal. So we requested a room with 3 beds. Thought we were getting a room with a double bed, a sofa bed and a pull down single bed, but was just a double bed and 2 pull out... more

Unlike some others that have reviewed this hotel, it was a great experience for us. The room was large, very clean and well equipped. The Bathroom was very large and also very clean. The rubber ducks were a nice touch. We did find a elevator (lift) to take us to our floor, but did find that there were multiple levels... more

This hotel is not actually in Bristol. It is quite far from the city center unless you have a car. The hotel has an old world charm about it that compensates for the noisey plumbing, creeky floorboards and thin walls. The breakfast was quite good. more

We stayed here on the 16th & 17th December 2007. The hotel is situated at a busy intersection on a VERY main road, so if your room is at the front it's pretty noisy. Across the road and up the hill a short walk is a strip of shops, including a laundromat, bakery, some restaurants. There's also a supermarket, Burger... more

This place really should be avoided at all costs. We stayed for one night, and if we had booked for any longer, we would have looked for something else in the area immediately. The only good things I can say about this hotel are that there is plenty of free parking, and it is convenient for getting to and from... more
