If you are travelling alone, whatever you do, do not stay at the Centennial. If you do, you will be placed in a small, dingy room with little light and little space. I cannot comment on what it must be like to stay at the Centannial if you are a couple ( I can only hope it is a lot... more

I had to find a hotel room in Cambridge at short notice and ended up here. My room was on the small side but very clean - nice crisp cotton sheets. At £80 per night I thought it was very expensive - but I guess that's just the price one has to pay in Cambridge. The hotel is that it... more

I stayed here for one night on a work business trip. The hotel is about 15 minutes' walk from the train station and about 15 minutes' walk into the city centre. The front door is locked at 11ish, so you have to ring a bell to be let in after then. I was allocated a single room in the attic,... more

The Centennial is pretty much as described on their website except the deluxe double room description leads you to expect more than you find on arrival. The room is pretty much standard unless you consider a canopy at the head of the bed a luxury. The room is situated at the back overlooking the car park and would be much... more

Despite good first impressions and apparently helpful staff, this turned out to be a really unpleasant experience and I will certainly not be staying at the Centennial again. To be fair, in normal circumstances this would probably be a reasonable place to stay: furniture is dated and chintzy to the point of creepiness, and single rooms are extremely 'cosy', but... more

Stayed for two nights in March, this hotel was booked for me by my company as it was the closest available hotel to our Hills Road offices. After reading some of the reviews on here I was a little nervous about what I would find but on the whole it was ok. The hotel is made from converted houses on... more

Stayed in the Centennial Hotel for two nights in May. Its located very close to the train station, however is a fifteen minute walk into the town centre, which was a bit far on a wet and rainy weekend. Our double room, 202 on the ground floor was very small with the 'bathroom' built into the original room. The decor... more

This hotel is handy for the train station as right nearby and a 15 min walk into the centre. I liked the location but unfortnatley the hotel was very dated, especially the bar area! The room was small in size and the decor again was very dated, although it was very clean. A kettle, TV and hairdryer provided but no... more

I tend to stay at this place every time I go to Cambridge because it's cheap by local standards and the staff are friendly and helpful. The rooms are small, rather dated in decor, but clean and fairly comfortable. It's handily located for the cirty centre and only about 800m from the rail station. more
