OK, so I didn't choose to stay here - my partner's company booked him in here. It's only really convenient if travelling by car (or local buses do stop nearby) - too far to walk from the centre, coach or train station if you have luggage. (Without luggage, town is about a 20 minute walk, or you can get the... more

Hotel is the standard Travelodge clenliness, but suffers with some major location issues and staff problems. To call the place Cambridge central is a little far fetched, it is at least a 1/2 hour walk fro the 'Centre' of Cambridge, OK it has a CB1 postcode but that is all it shares. It is in a complex of several resturants... more

I can't begin to tell you how much me and my traveling companions hated this hotel. The people at reception in the daytime were fine - but whoever was working the desk at night was angry and agitated and members of my party really thought he was going to physically attack them. Their crime? Trying to get an extra duvet... more

I regularly have to stay at a variety of different hotels for work purposes. As a result of my stay at this hotel, I shall be adding Travelodge to my "never do this again" list, just below "watch a show with Joe Pasquale in it" and "drink an entire bottle of Tequila in one sitting". Checking in was a problem... more

Stayed here for one night on business. It's in a rather skanky part of Cambridge with lots of commercial outlets on its doorstep. My room was basic, pretty clean but absolutely stunk of cigarettes. The breakfast arrangement is basic but ok - if a bit hostel like. Definitely not a hotel I'd choose to stay at for pleasure. more

stayed here when visiting family at christmas time when we arrived we noticed that there wasnt very much parking, but found a space and ran in to check in and get the parking permit, which cost £10, £5 of which you get back. There was however a large multistorey just next door that hotel users could also park in witht... more

It's a Travelodge for goodness sake!I am widely travelled and have stayed in much better places as well as much worse. It does the job-inexpensive,functional,clean.The corridors that someone complained about are no different from most other hotels, and the breakfast was better than the one I had in the Holiday Inn in France at which I stayed recently. To the person who complained... more

I am finding it somewhat hard to comprehend some of the awful reviews on this site regarding this hotel. We liked it! We booked online in advance, paying just £19 for the night, and getting discount on breakfast (I believe it's 10% off when booking online). We walked from the train station to the hotel, and found it with no... more

I stayed in here for 1 night only, which was a real bonus. I arrived at the hotel at about half past one where i was advised that although my room was ready that it would be an extra £10 to book in early. Company was paying so that didn't bother me too much but what happened to the legendary... more

I stayed for 2 nights at the Travelodge in Cambridge. I will probably not stay there again. Although the staff were friendly enough, the hotel had a real feel of being an overpriced hostel. Payment for the stay had to be made upon check-in. The corridors of the hotel seemed like a hospital or some other kind of institution. The... more
