Excellent location & hotel. We stayed for one Saturday night (16th August) and I was very dubious before we got to the hotel, having read so many negative reviews on this site. Our Sat Nav took us to the front door mid afternoon. Check in was very easy and we were upgraded to a room overlooking the hoe on the... more

Stayed with my wife and two sons for Saturday and Sunday nights of August Bank Holiday weekend using Priority Award Points. This is the 5th or 6th year we’ve stayed at this hotel so we know its foibles. We arrived at around mid-day and tried to check-in, as expected the room was not available so we wandered around the city... more

This is by far - the worst hotel we have ever stayed in. Luckily we we're only here one night before taking the ferry to France. The whole hotel stinks, there are some disgusting fausty smells throughtout the venue, the bar is shabby, the pool facilities are tierd and the rooms are grotty. Kudos to whoever took the photos of... more

Stayed for one night to see Plymouth - and were glad that we booked in this hotel, which is a stone's throw from Plymouth Hoe and all the major sights. Our room had a nice view out to sea, and was clean and large. The hotel is a large 1960s building, but is generally well maintained. We parked in the... more

Recption was welcoming and vouchers to spend give the impression of a well run operation - but wait till you get to the room which for a four star hotel was appauling The room was spacious but in desperate need of a refurb - carpets were well worn - the linen was drab and the bathroom not clean with mold... more

We have just returned from a 2 night stay in the Holiday Inn, Plymouth. I have to say, that after reading some of the reports I was a bit dubious, but I was proved wrong! It was lovely. We paid extra for an executive room (floor 10)( worth doing) . It was spacious, clean and great views. We ate in... more

My husband needed to stay in Plymouth on business so we decided to bring the whole family for the two night stay. The hotel was very tired looking and needs a renovation. Although the room was great with two double beds the bathroom was quite poor and mouldy in places. We stayed dinner, bed & breakfast and both nights we... more

I had stayed here quite regularly up until a couple of years ago but defected after I was allocated the room from hell despite being a regular guest. However, I am getting a bit fed up of having to collect my own food at Jurys (no room service) and wishing I had something to do in the evenings (H I... more

Husband and I stayed for 3 nights in June, Saturday to Tuesday. Underground parking costs only £3.50 a stay, but is very tight to negotiate with a long car (2-year-old Passat). We dented and scraped the passenger side on one of the corners, and will now have the repair cost to add onto our weekend break! Location – very hard... more

We went for a two night stay as part of a group of 26. Booking in was quick as all our keys were in envelopes and we just gave our name and were given the envelopes. The room was big but not clean, there was mould behind the bath taps and around the tiles, and the shower only just warm,... more
