It is with the utmost pleasure that I can confirm that the great hospitality and comfort of my previous visit last January has continued, and been consolidated. This particular stay was taken as a honeymoon, so something 'special' was sought. ...and indeed this happened. Superlative hospitality from start to finish...individuals like Brian, and Andy at the front desk, like Waitur... more

having read some of the reviews, I am not sure if I stayed in the same hotel. Professional check in, lovely room and good breakfast. Staff in the main willing and profesional. Didi not dine as didnt arrive till late but room service was pretty good. As a business traveller, ideal location and free WIFI in bar was good. more

We stayed at the Royal Bath for 3 nights in late August 2008 Booked a De Luxe Room on De Vere's website. 1. Arrival was semi-chaotic due to lack of car parking. A compulsory £15 per day charge applies for valet parking in their garage. Had to pay it, as due to an air show, all on-street parking was coned... more

Such a massive shame this hotel is run (into the ground...) by De Vere. It is in an awsome location, has a feeling of "faded grandeur" which i love. BUT BUT BUT, the worst service i have ever had the misfortune to experience in a hotel. 1) we specifically booked interconnecting rooms for our two kids (1 and 4) they... more

This is our first ever review, we are not normally complainers, but after staying here we were so cross we decided to let other people know. My partner and I booked the Royal Bath Hotel on the De Vere venues website directly. We had previously stayed at The Grand Hotel in Southampton and had a lovely stay and assumed that... more

I booked this hotel during a business trip in Bournemouth, I usually stay at the Marriott Bournemouth but this time I thought I'd try the De Vere Royal Bath. Having stayed in other De Vere hotels in the past my expectations were high. This has to be the worst De Vere I have ever stayed in! The service was terrible.... more

Arrived at this hotel thinking we we in for a luxury stay for our 2 night break. After getting past the nicely decorated reception area it was downhill from then on. The lounge area smelled of raw sewage (a notice to guests was eventually put on display apologising for this - drain problems) the furniture in the public areas was... more

We stayed here from July 30th -August 2nd in the Meyrick Suite which is room 267. we have previously stayed at the Durley Dene, Metro Palace Court ( now the Premier Inn ) and the Norfolk Royale. It is very much like the latter, only it is much bigger, the staff are a lot friendlier and it has its own... more

We have just returned from Bournemouth where we stayed the night (well part of it) at the Royal Bath. We decided on a whim to go down to Bournemouth for a night, we normally stay at the Highcliff but this was fully booked, we booked a suite at the Royal Bath thinking that it would be the best room they... more

When you have a location to die for, when you have great staff who are friendly, fast and attentive why on EARTH would you allow your hotel to look like a set from 'Terry and June'? This hotel is in dire need of major refurbishment. The reception areas are chintzy but pleasant. HOWEVER our £190 'deluxe' room was tatty and... more
