We arrived early and even though our room wasn' t ready, the host allowed us to store our luggage in the house allowing us to explore Bournemouth unencumbered--which we adored. I am sorry that this guest was unaware that "breakfast was excluded in the price" but this is more a reflection of how Expedia present hotels on the Internet than anything Ingledene House does wrong. I can assure readers, we always pass on to Expedia and other reservation agencies exact information. How they choose to display it is not the...

We recently stayed in Ingledene and were thoroughly disappointed with this b&b. We experienced the same problem as the other review..our full payment was taken instead of a 'deposit' as promised. We really enjoyed Bournemouth..but not Ingledene! Seriously think twice before booking, as the website is very deceiving, and it is definately in need of some modernisation. Cant believe it... more

I want to comment on this review as follows: Firstly, Deposits and Payments prior to arrival vary considerably depending on (a) When the guest made the booking and (b) which agency the guest used to place the booking or (c) what was specifically agreed between the parties involved. Sometimes all is collected at the time of the booking and sometimes...

I had a very terrific stay in this hotel. The place is so nice with accomodating staff and the owner is very nice and approachable. This person, by making a booking over the phone, entered into a legally binding contract with my guest house.At a later she phoned indicating she wished to cancel the original booking. In doing so she was in breach of her original contract with my guest house. It makes no difference when the booking was canceled or when I collected the...
