I visited the Swan at Bibury as i was attending the Fairford air show and was looking for a nice place to stay local to the air base. I booked a four poster room which was pleasent enough but there was no view, as i was in a side facing room towards a bank and some steps to a bridge.... more

In order to avoid any confusion, a card is always placed in each bathroom alongside the four 300ml bottles of Molton Brown toiletries. Each card explains that these luxury products are for guest use while resident in the hotel, but could be purchased from Reception at £16.00 per bottle should the guest wish to take them away to enjoy in...

My girlfriend and I stayed at the Swan Hotel in Bibury, and first of all it was every bit as cute and atmospheric as its pictures show it to be. We were thrilled by the small town (there's really nothing there except the hotel and the fish hatchery) and yes, there are real swans in the stream. I tried to... more

We really enjoyed our stay. It was peaceful, the room was warm and comfortable, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. We paid extra for a superior room which was very pleasant and spacious. The bed was huge and comfortable and the bathroom was also large. Nice touches like complimentary mineral water and Molton Brown toiletries were good. The... more

Booking handled very well and warm welcome by an Aussie lady. Room very comfortable and nothing too much trouble for reception. However the restaurant was a big let down. No staff in restaurant had English as first language so no real conversation, just standard phrases. The menu was very disappointing bearing in mind we paid £200 per night - only... more

My husband and I stayed at the Swan Hotel on a 'Sublime Sunday' deal which appeared to be too good to be true. Standard rooms for £84.00 - arrive and enjoy a glass of wine, followed by a three course Sunday lunch, a newspaper of choice and full English cooked breakfast. We decided it was such a good deal that... more

We stayed at this hotel as part of a group for a family birthday. The hotel itself is very nice and our room was really well decorated and presented, and had a nice view across the village (although a little overpriced for what the hotel offers). Unfortunately, our overall impression of the hotel was let down by the food. As... more

We've stayed here a few times. It's a picturesque part of the Cotswolds and the Swan complements the idyllic surroundings perfectly. The service is excellent, staff are friendly, and while it's not cheap (around £170prpn) it's worth it if you want somewhere special for a weekend. more

My husband booked a surprise getaway to the hotel we got married in (now under new ownership). Unfortunately, the dates he booked turned out to be unworkable due to family issues over the Christmas period which were unknown to him at the time. We tried to move the date to our anniversary in January but were told that there was... more

My wife and I stayed in the four-poster bedroom on our wedding night recently. The room was incredible and very good value, even for those travelling on dollars. The bathroom had to be seen and experienced to be believed. Breakfast was good but the vegetarian option was not available and the waiter mistakenly brought my wife's breakfast with meat. He... more

We arrived at the Swan on Sunday 2.00pm only to find the village awash with tourists (a good sign perhaps) , however the hotel car park is very small and there were no spaces left. So we had to park a quarter of a mile away and walk minus our luggage. We were told by the staff that the crowds... more
