This hotels' website talks of charm and luxury - the reality is that the rooms are very disappointing and the one that we were in could only be described as "shabby" with others that we saw or heard about from other guests not much better. Hotel needs a complete refurb. Lining on curtains shredded to pieces, carpets very worn, bathrooms need deep clean,bedding needs renewing, matteress on our bed had spikes from the springs sticking out at least 1inch long!! had to change room at midnight first night, not impressed, staff try ,but understaffed. Tammy needs to be mentioned, works very hard under difficult circumstances.... more

Okay so let's start with the positives: - Location. This is fantastic. Right within walking distance of the centre and yet in a tucked away residential location. - Parking. Arrived at Hotel, it smelt of stale food and drink.Almost turned around and didn't book in. Spoke to receptionist who had no knowledge of our booking and didn't attempt to help us. Did offer to book us in, but as the hotel was almost empty,this was no surprise. We confirmed booking after checking we had come to the right hotel.... more
