I had booked last minute for a couple of days R&R with my husband without really researching the hotel or area. After reading some reviews I was a little worried what we would find when we arrived. I need not have worried we came away with nothing to complain about . We changed rooms soon after we arrived as the... more

I am rarely compelled to write negative reviews of hotels, but in this case, I had to make an exception. It is a shame that such a beautiful property in such a idyllic setting has to be marred by such horrible service, poor management, and lack of attention to detail. If I were the hotel owners/managers, I would be embarrassed... more

I stayed at the Wyck Hill House Hotel with work and as I drove into the grounds I anticipated a lovely night's stay. As I checked in, I was told that my room had been upgraded to a suite, so all was good in the World! The suite was lovely - a sitting room with leather sofa greeted me followed... more

What a disappointment. Wyck Hill House promises so much and when you arrive you really think you’ve found the perfect luxury Cotswolds hotel. But from the moment we arrived things began to go from bad to worse. And as one reviewer here has already said, even Basil Fawlty would shake his head in disbelief. First of all we were told... more

We didn't think that the standard rooms would be as big as they looked in the photos but they extremely roomy, clean and modern. The hotel is in a beautiful manor which looks out onto the lush valley at the back of the property. The breakfast selection is vast...full english bfast, pancakes, cereal...the works! There is an elemis spa. The... more

After reading reviews for Wyck Hill Hotel, I felt a little nervous as I had already booked a one night stay including dinner. However we were most pleasantly surprised. Our room was lovely, modern in style with a huge comfortable bed, a massive bathroom with complimentary toiletries, and flat screen tv and dvd. The dinner was delicious (do beware of the... more

I believe that this hotel used to be fantastic, but on our visit recently even Basil Fawltey would have been ashamed! The hotel and its location are perfect for a "contemporary niche" hotel, which is how the owners want to pitch it. However, until these owners sort out the sheer incompetence of the staff, they will achieve nothing more than... more

What a beautiful building in a superb location. A large comfortable manor house in local stone with views over the valley to the West. First impressions are lovely; a warm hotel with soft sofas everywhere downstairs. Our room was fine so we headed off for dinner with high hopes. My wife chose gazpacho and was reminded this is cold soup... more
