The best view of this hotel is in your rear view mirror. The ripped arms on the arm chairs in the lounge set the tone. With a magnificant veiw of an English country garden from one end of the dinning room contrasing with a view of the pile of furniture at the other end. After sending out for more clothing... more

Great building and great grounds. Go exploring in the corridors on the first floor of the main building - some old photos of the place from years ago. Did not use the resturant in the evening as went to a pub in Sherston but the menu and resturant did look good. Room was large, TV on the small side and... more

Booked through Laterooms I paid £65 for bed and breakfast. Good ponts - Free wi-fi in bedrooms, nice gardens, nice breakfast, pub attached, large bedroom. Bad ponts - The bedroom I got was looking tired and the bathroom had a blistered wc seat, chipped bath and flimsy bathroom blind. Tv was a tiny old tv with only half a dozen... more

Such a welcome break between Christmas and New Year. After our own busy year, staff were very attentive but unobtrusive. A refreshing break, allowing us to regenerate at our own pace. Thankyou more

We stayed in the Silkwood rooms which were excellent. However we had booked dinner for 8 o'clock and when we arrived at the restaurant there was no record of the booking. We were accomodated and the food was excellent although the service required a little prompting, that is, to offer us wine and to be on hand when required. We... more

Lovely hotel, we had several rooms, most of which were in the main part of the hotel and all were of a good size and clean, we also had a suite in the new Silkwood Court which was even nicer, we did have a couple of small problems but as soon as we reported them they were sorted, the english... more

The friendly and helpful staff tried hard to handle the unfamiliar and difficult positons that they were faced with - particularly in the Restaurant. The food and service was excellent but the delay between ordering and receiving the food, and in between courses was totally unaceptable, even if the 'kitchen was exceptionally busy" (the Restaurant was not that full -... more

Firstly, if you are thinking about staying here then ring the Best Western call centre rather than the hotel direct. We were quoted £120 a night by the hotel but £70 by Best Western ! Lovely group of buildings and grounds in a nice part of the world. The hotel is very attractive and obviously well kept, the only minus... more

We booked an overnight stay via the "Best Western" website. This was a far better hotel than the price suggested. Our apparently brand new looking room was in the annexe to the hotel and considering it was supposed to be a "standard" room was spacious and quiet with a large shower and separate bath . (Yes the bathroom fan was... more
