The Castle Green in Kendal is a great hotel with a lovely setting and more importantly lovely comfortable and plush rooms. Service was good and the breakfast superb. The little pub that is part of the hotel serves up some fantastic food and more importantly very generous portions. I would definately recommend this to fellow travellers to Kendal. more

Stayed sat/sun night for sister's wedding. Had twin, family and double room all of which were excellent. Facilities excellant...tea coffee ironing board hair dryer etc. immaculate rooms...with clean linen bath towels etc every day. Breakfast.....can't fault it plenty to eat and drink. We weren't supposed to be staying here but after a mix up at our hotel we got transferred here. Looked gorgeous from the outside and had a very impressive entrance and bar/restaurant area. We checked in no problem staff were very pleasant however if we had paid for the room we were given i think we would have definately complained.... more
