Slightly miffed after just reading one of the reviews for this B&B... My wife, 2yr old daughter and I spent 4 nights at Thwaite Howe last month and have to say its the nicest B&B i've stayed in for a long time.. We stayed at Thwaite Howe in May, and cannot wait to go back! Everything was perfect. The location - stunning views, set in a forest with red squirrels running around, close to a decent pub and not far from Keswick. The hotel - the owners were very friendly and welcoming, and our room was lovely looking out towards the mountain... more

We stayed here during the month of May, booked through the ilovethelakes website. I searched for B&B's in Keswick area and this one was the top of the list. It had impressive photo's but was clearly a sponsored link given it was 3 miles outside of Keswick. The hotel is ok, it's not too offensive. The room was just ok.... more
