Dirty dirty dirty and very old fashioned. We came home with a few interesting bites too. The hosts were fab though, a great laugh and seemed to try their best. Cant really ask for much more from a couple who dont sleep!! more
Have recently stayed at the Queensgate Hotel had a brilliant time. Hotel was close to town and Syndicate (amazing) and overlooking the sea. Liam and his wife couldn’t do enough for us. Can recommend to anybody it’s clean, comfy beds, good food, friendly and best of all has a bar/ lounge area which is just the job for parties –... more
Hi All, We are a large football and social club from Belfast, Northern Ireland and have been going to Blackpool for 27 years we have all ages from 70 odd to young players around 18 years and the Queensgate Hotel has to be the best we have stayed in, Good rooms, bar opened all night, cheap drink, clean, and the... more
The Queensgate Hotel is the best hotel we have stayed in Blackpool. We found it via www.hotels-blackpool.com we have 2 children and the staff where very friendly and helpfull. We would advise anyone going to Blackpool to try this Hotel. Blackpool has alot to offer and the hotel is in the best place just a 10 min walk and your... more
Myself, friend our daughters and her baby son decided on an overnight stay in blackpool. we looked on the late rooms website-which i usually use and found the Queensgate Hotel. Being a regular traveller to Blackpool i know the parking situation on the prom. The Queensgate was ideally situated for parking as the gynn square carpark is nearby. Being on a... more
we traveled all the way from stirling in scotland and when we arrived we could not get parked outside we had to park a ten min walk away which cost us £10 we arrived on the 30th of dec and was supposed to leave on the 2nd of jan it was to be a hogmanay party however we were so... more
Sorry about the delay in replying we have been closed for refurishing until now and just haven't had time to look at reviews. We cannot guarantee parking availibility at the hotel but less than 3 minutes walk towards town there is off the road parking and 3 minutes the other way there is the cheapest council parking in Blackpool £10...
We arrived really tired to be told that we couldnt park ANYWHERE near the b&b,THEN were told the deposit hadnt been paid but we hadnt been contacted and told. The halls STANK of smoke and greasy food, the shower in the room had to be hit to start it.Our friends on/off switch was located in the very top of the shower cubicle... more
I Ihave taken time out from the end of season decorating and refurbing in response to these reviews. Obviously the reviewers arrived very irritable and with the council work taking place outside, the hotel didn't stand a chance! Deposits are sometimes unpaid when there are insufficient funds or a wrong digit etc. We would try to contact the guest to...
A few of went to this hotel when we looked at the photos on the website we were rather happy to book this unfortunately when we got there there it look nothing like what the pictures on the website shows, for one we couldnt park there as there were roadworks outside, the rooms were dirty, the shower curtain had mould... more
I can assure our reviewer that what you see on the website has not been doctored in any way. I suppose any interior that has seen better days will appear dirty in contrast to the stark sanitary cleanliness of our hospitals. Please read other management review as this review is basically a copy of the other - I suppose at...
My partner and I stayed in this hotel from Friday to Sunday! We had room 26 with a seaview. We were on holiday and excited about being on an adventure together and we kept telling ourselves that the hotel was ok and that it was just for two nights but the bed was very uncomfortable, and although the room looked... more
Yes room 26 is in need of refurbishment and it does have the interesting carpets in the bathroom – although not unique to Blackpool I can assure you. Normally I would be very protective over our hotel and our pricing policy usually offers exceptional value for money. On this occasion I do agree, although I question the cleanliness aspect for...
