The White Hart's incredible location (on Bailgate around the corner from the Cathedral) more than made up for a little noise through the windows at night (there's a pub with outside seating a hundred feet away). Very good experience, especially after dealing with substandard plumbing in small country inns! more

My Wife & I stayed here on business for one night recently and overall we were very impressed. After negotiating a slightly long winded route around Lincoln's one-way system, we found the adjacent (free) car park and headed for reception. After a very welcoming greeting & check in, we set off through a maze of corridors to find our room... more

After visiting Lincoln many times I had anticipated a good stay here. The hotel is situated in a fantastic location, being pretty much next to Lincoln Cathedral. I have passed the hotel probably each time I have visited and always thought how nice it looked so I was looking forward to staying here. I think the main concern for me,... more

My wife and I, and my Parents, had an enjoyable weekend stay at the White Hart Hotel, spoilt somewhat by a disappointing restaurant experience. We both booked Executive rooms. My Parents were in room 354, a large twin-bedded room overlooking the front of the Hotel, nicely modernised. The windows were double glazed, and they said it was very quiet. The... more

We stayed at the White Hart Hotel, which is about 200 metres from both the cathedral and the castle.Bedroom was a litlle tired though roomy.Breakfast excellent and Bistro looked decent.Plenty of small cafes and bistros very close. The area around is very old and beautiful, with narrow cobbled streets and small shops .The cathedral is possibly one of the the most greatest in... more

It's been a number of years since I've visited Lincoln, and this time round it was business that took me there rather than pleasure. I was a little aprehensive as Lincoln tends to make the news for all the wrong reasons these days (crime, drunken yobs etc...) Having trawelled the internet looking for suitable accomodation it was the White Hart... more

Stayed 2 nights in anticipation of a lovely experience. We weren't told they were in the process of refurbishing the hotel and their website doesn't say so either. The room was very tired, quite grubby and desperately in need of decoration; I can forgive these things but it wasn't cleaned properly, which I can't. The bathroom was too dark to... more

Overall we enjoyed our stay here and had a fantastic view of the Cathedral in room 350 which was worth the money alone. On the negative side the downstairs was undergoing some improvements. The receptionist who checked us in was not the best and could have been much more helpful. The lift was tiny and should be condemned. Finally, when... more

For the price I found the White Hart Hotel average. Having booked a "catherdal view" room, I can say that you can see the Catherdral from the room I had, only by positioning yourself at the bath room window and straining your neck. The room was of good size but not the cleanest. It did have a nice large bathroom.... more

Fantastic location right next to the cathedral but a bit tricky to find. The reception staff were very helpful and friendly and went out of their way to be accommodating. Great be able to park the car for the stay right across the road but garage is a bit dilapidated and home to a very large (probably more) fat rat!... more
