My father and I arrived into Liverpool from John Lennon Airport and paid the 20 pounds for a taxi ride to the hotel. (Which was worth it, ask your cab driver to take you past John Lennons house and Penny Lane, it will save you the 45 pounds for the worthless Beatles tour). Stayed here for one night in early October. We found the rooms to be reasonably furnished but very dated. The public areas of the hotel i.e. the bar and restaurant are of a much better standard than the hotel rooms themselves. Good points, very central, staff were efficient and my taxi to the airport arrived on time. Still can't help... more
