Piccadilly Backpackers is a pretty standard hostel in the heart of Soho. What gains them marks are location, services, and shear number of available rooms. Its quite large, accessible (though reception is on the 3rd floor and the tiny elevator is usually busy). However, with breakfast, snack machines, internet (extra), laundry rooms and a small travel center this place is... more

I stayed a week here and was severely bitten by Bed Bugs, when I was diagnosed the doctor said it was chronic around Piccadilly Circus this problem. This was the first time I was in London (I'm originally from Australia) I initially had welds and hives all over my neck and upper shoulders. I had scarring on my body which... more

I stayed here during a weekend in mid-June. The hostel is located just around the corner from Piccadilly so it’s really central. That’s why we choose it. We arrived very late on our first night there, the night security guy was not the friendliest but not rude in any way. He sent us up to the 4th floor, where the... more

This hostel should be condemned. There was mold all over the walls and ceilings in my room, the mattresses are so old that the springs dig into your back, the showers were a disgrace (I did not have my flip flops with me and could not bring myself to shower barefoot -- it came to me wearing socks in the... more

First - to stay here, you need a sense of humour! I've stayed at Piccadilly BP twice, in 2004 and again in June 2008. The reason why I chose the place again is price and location. And that's really the reason why anyone should ever stay here. Price and location. In 2004 I traveled in a company of three, and... more

AVOID AT ALL COST. The pictures of the rooms they show for this place are nothing like what you are given. I suppose the good rooms are on the 3rd floor which is locked up. They gave us a shady, grungy 4 dorm room with 2 bunk beds, the thinnest pillow you will ever see and some barely feasable sheets.... more

I had stayed at this hostel before and had generally OK memories of it. The time before I was booked into a pod dorm with my boyfriend for one night before we transferred to a hotel the next night. We already had the transfer booked before travelling, which I think made the first night easy enough to put up with... more

Didn't enjoy much about this place. Yes, it is in a fabulous location, which is why I stayed here. However, the showers and toilets were quite dirty, the beds squeaky, and the place noisy. In some ways I wish I'd paid more to stay in a nicer place, but I did use the money I saved to buy theatre tickets.... more

Picadilly hostel: the big fake Picadillybackpackers, more than a budget hotel is an unhealthy place and the publicity done on the website is really deceptive. We booked 2 double rooms, but what we found was 2 really small cages in really bad conditions: plugs did not work, the washroom was full of beard hear from other client, the window was... more

DO NOT STAY HERE Secuity issues, random people wlaking round all night, no security, no one checks who's who. BED BUGS IN ROOM. Toilets disgusting, dirty showers, used tampons lying round in ladies. "Couples" at it in the toilets. Given keys for rooms that were already full, night staff didn't care. DO NOT TAKE SCHOOL GROUPS HERE. more
