The room was clean and decoated to a high standard, but was quite cold. Having turned the room thermostat it had no effect as the room did not appear to have any way of heating. Really excellent hotel. Unlike the other reviewer, I found the restaurant lovely, food was great with unusual dishes you don't see everywhere else. The accommodation was of superior standard, lovely and clean, modern decoration, large bed, Moulton Brown toiletries. Hotel rooms may be very nice but the restaurant menu lacks severely in choice. Sampled the wild mushrooms with Mediterranean vegetables and tagliatelle, after complaining as the Mediterranean vegetables consisted of just two pieces of red pepper one centimetre square this dish had to be the worst that I have ever tasted. more

As a frequent visitor to Northampton, this hotel is a great find. Newly and tastefully refurbished to a high standard - I believe it only re-opened in March 06. Accommodation in an all new wing.
