We, two couples, booked the De Vere Wokefield Park through a golfing holiday company for a golfing weekend. The hotel is about a 20 minute drive from Reading, probably only 10 minutes if you know the way as I think we circled it a few times on little country lanes before we found it. It's a nice hotel, worthy of... more

Not sure what other people are saying we had a great time - I paid £29 per night for 2 people. The room was excellent, staff friendly and food good (£20 per 2 course meal). Best value I have ever had. My guess is that some of the rooms have not been upgraded but we had a newly refurbished room... more

I have noticed that there are many poor rated reviews for this hotel which is rather unfair. The hotel has only recently been purchased by DeVeres and is clearly undergoing an expensive and quite impressive revamp, hence the title' Work in Progress'. I stayed in what is known as the Mansion House which is a little more expensive but the... more

We were originally placed in an older building of the hotel - room was awful. Asked to be moved and eventually they sorted it out for us - into the newer part of the hotel. Room was passable and worth what we paid, but I would only recommend booking this hotel if you get a really good deal. more

My husband and I stayed here en-route to another location. I booked it via the hotel website and was very happy to be paying only £39 for bed & breakfast for the two of us. Unusually for me, it was only after booking the hotel did I check the Trip Advisor reviews - and I was convinced that we were... more

if you are in a refurbished room, then you'll be ok. The original rooms are AWFUL and dirty, stained and not nice. The new rooms are much more modern, if a little basic. The food at the Hotel is very very average, we stayed here with work and I would not pay to stay here myself at all! Staff are... more

Writing this review from the Hotel lobby at 0630 hrs due to being woken up at 0515 by a Groundsman rolling the putting green outside on a ride-on mower. Twenty minutes work, roared off into the distance across the adjacent golf course. Twenty minutes later back again to apply weedkiller again on another ride-on machine. At this stage gave up.... more

stayed at the hotel on saturday night for a bargain price of £29.00 (booked directly through devere-venues website) - was not expecting 4* luxury but was pleased with the room, nicely furnished and clean; staff were very friendly and had a nice bar. we did not have dinner at the hotel - went to the Old Bell which was a... more

We stayed at Woking Field Park on the 3rd May 2008 where expecting from the website a reasonable standard of hotel and a relaxing time. We where disappointed as the room was quite grubby with black marks on the top sheet and water marks all around the radiator. We where disturbed twice by the fire alarms after we arrived. The... more

We stayed for 2nts whilst visiting Legoland. As mentioned before, finding the hotel was tricky as it is in a rural location and there aren't any signs for the hotel until you reach the gates. However, on arrival we were pleasantly surprised. Although the main reception area has a distinctly corporate theme, the staff were very friendly and our large,... more
