I have just stayed 2 nights at the Novotel Reading. I had 2 teenagers with me and we had a very enjoyable time. The staff were excellent and the room was lovely. We had a great breakfast and the location was fab. A quick rail journey to London. This was excellent value for money and I would recommend this hotel. more

Staff all very friendly, cheerful, nothing too much trouble, could not fault. Best food of any hotel I have stayed at, absolutely excellent, scallops the size of scones, crispy duck salad brilliant, in fact everything on the menu cooked to perfection. This is a terrible place to stay. The air conditioning does not work. The sheets do not fit the bed- they are about a foot too short and keep riding up in the night and the beds are very very uncomfortable. The pillows and cushions are very cheap and horrid.
