I have stayed in several Hyatt hotels. Birmingham may not compare with Singapore or Bali (not the city's fault!) but the hotel is typically Hyatt good value for money. Looking for a nice lunch venue with two elderly parents on a Saturday we picked on the Hyatt after reading the usual reviews and calling the hotel. I have stayed at this hotel many times on business. Room: Top draw - as good as you'll get in the UK outside of London. You can also see the Birmingham skyline (if it exists that is). One of the tallest buildings in Birmingham City Centre. Staff: Very slow to answer room service calls, waiting times for food is terrible.... more
