....but thankfully that was only the weather! Rained heavily the whole day - more like November than August Spent a night mid August in this great hotel. Had problems initially trying to book via their website and rang the hotel direct. From the moment the phone was answered to the moment we collected our bags before heading to the airport... more

We stayed overnight at the Hotel du Vin in July after attending one of their wine evenings. The hotel was quiet as it was a Sunday afternoon when we arrived but our room was ready and after dropping off our bags we went downstairs to the Bubbles bar and had a glass of champagne, (there was a choice of 5... more

Hotel du Vin is a nice hotel no doubt but theres better value around i think. My room was quite cramped and a little tricky to navigate round the bed. Bed linen was very nice and bed comfortable. Bathroom a good size and high qaulity large bathroom products. Dissapointingly the LCD TV had a damaged screen Colleagues in other rooms... more

We visited Hotel du Vin Brum for a wine school weekend and were not disappointed. The hotel is billed as the largest in the chain, but it is till very manageable, and friendly. The room (and especially the bathroom) were large and well maintained. The food we were served was of a high standard and the bar efficient One suggestion... more

We have just had the most wonderful wedding & stay at the Hotel du Vin Birmingham. From the moment we made our initial enquiry to the time of our departure the venue & service we received was excellent. The accomodation was first class, very stylish & contemporary, with great attention to detail. The hotel was luxurious yet had a very... more

If you've got to stay in Birmingham (as we did for a wedding) then I suspect you could do a lot worse for somewhere to stay but that's about the only positive thing I can say. I like the Hotel du Vin chain and have stayed in several but this was by far the least impressive I have experienced. The... more

My partner and I have stayed in the Hotel Du Vin Birmingham for one week. We have stayed in many hotels all over the world expensive ones too. Well this hotel is wonderful. We are not into French food so we ate there one night. Very over price but good. The bed was huge 6 people could sleep in there.... more

On arrival i upgraded my room as i found the standard room a little small. The room cost me £175 for the night and was in the style of a new york loft. Very masculine but a good size. Bathroom was large and clinical. Very noisy room but that was more to do with the noise outside rather than the... more

We found ourselves in Birmingham early one morning in need of a good breakfast. We've stayed at Malmaison before but not Hotel du Vin and so took the opportunity to see what it was like, at least on the food front. Service was fairly indifferent, not a smile to be seen, and our waitress twice tried to give our breakfast... more

My wife and I stayed here in late April '08. We have stayed in four hotels in the centre Birmingham in the last 6 months and we have to say that Hotel Du Vin is the best hotel we have stayed in, in Birmingham, so far. The bathroom design is exactly what we want from a hotel stay; the staff... more
