Myself and 3 of my friends stayed on Saturday night as we were having a girly night out in Leeds for the first time. We were made to feel really welcome and we really enjoyed our stay and night out. The hotel is currently under renovation but created no noise for us during our stay. The rooms themselves were finished... more

Very friendly hotel - well run and the best breakfast in leeds.... my stays are business trips rather than pleasure and as I regulary stay in hotels across the country I have to look for value for money - which this hotel always delivers on the 3/4 times I book in per year ... ideally situated for the city centre.... more

We Googled "accommodation/guest houses in Leeds" and in our price range, felt that the Moorlea would suit. It stated family-owned but had 2 managers who were pleasant enough and the dining room and breakfasts were good. However! The stairs to our 2nd floor room were very steep and narrow and being more mature in years, found these a little difficult.... more

What I recommended is the location. It is fantastic. It is very close to the University and it took me just 10-15 minutes (walking) to the city centre. Bathroom is really perfect. Breakfast is great. Will come back sometimes. Cheers. more

I was given a warm welcome by Jeff the manager - parking permit, drink key etc. £30 basic single room was spotless and comfortable. Manager reccommended excellent chinese in town - only a short taxi away or free bus during... more

For the money it must be the best deal in Leeds. very handy location, close to city bus route, and minutes by taxi from city centre. Breakfast is fantastic with a good selection of cerials/and or cooked. Make your own tea in a large teapot. Catch... more

I stayed at the Moorlea Hotel for 9 months 2005/2006 while working in Leeds city centre. I was working in Leeds during the week and returning to my main residence in Newcastle at weekends. My employment agent had recommended the hotel to me. I found the Moorlea to be exactly what I wanted and never felt the need to look... more

I write this review as a warning to those who would stay at this nightmare hotel. I recently stayed at the Moorlea with my mother before an interview at the University of Leeds and was greeted by a disgusting and dirty place as ever was seen which looked as though it might be featured on A lif of Grime. Upon... more
