Lunch on the terrace was very good, with views over river. Dinner was excellent and we were treated to a visit by the chef explaining how supper was cooked! Online booking through the Stratford-upon-Avon website was not responded to, finally did it by phone. After checking in, a closer look in the room gave us more and more doubts. I stopped here on a Sunny Sunday afternoon, after seeing there website and thought it looked fab. When we arrived it was practically a building site the view was spoiled by a big patch of gravel and the hotel is not in very good condition. Good points first, the food was excellent and the hotel did their best to make amends for the fact that :- we were not told when we booked that the builders are in!
